Frances J. Schiro of Rockford, IL died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:35 p.m. in Rosewood Care Center.
She was born Sept. 24, 1922, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Margaret Armato in Rockford, where she
resided her entire life. She was employed by Woodward Governor in housekeeping for 11 years. She was a
member of St. Anthony Church, st. Mary Good Times Club, Italian Choral and a member of the Alter and
Rosary Society.
Survivors include, sons, Sam (Sue) of Rockford, Thomas (Francine) of Winnebago and Jack (Janet) of
Machesney Park; daughter Frances (Armando) Gomez of Fort Meyers, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; brother, Martin "Pep" (Vita) Armato of Delevan, Wis.; and nieces and nephews and
cousins.
Predeceased by parents; and sisters, Rose Zinna and Mary Rotolo. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, June
19, in St. Anthony Church with Franciscan Friars officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation
from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, in Gasparini and Oliveri Funeral Home with rosary recited at 6 p.m.,
also from 9 a.m. Thursday to time of service in the church. Arrangements are with Gasparini and Oliveri
Funeral Home and Cremation Society, 707 Marchesano Dr.
