Hospice Care of America, founded by Hospice Nurse Marty Johnson, began operations in Rockford, Illinois, in September 2004 and has faithfully served hospice needs in Winnebago, Ogle, Stephenson, McHenry, DeKalb and Boone Counties.

Hospice Care of America opened the doors to its second office in Freeport in September 2010 and expanded farther west to include Carroll and Jo Daviess Counties.
